kapa haka can do #8 distinction

well I was doing kapa Haka we came into the hall and sat in our lines facing the doors and we started by singing tenaematoe then we let the nonperformance go back to class then talked about the senior citizens performance. Then we practised the actions for tenaematoe and after that we went in to our lines then we practised all of our songs that we are doing for our performances we have about 2 or 3 more performances until the end of the year after that we practised taitapui and personally I think that taitapui is the song that we sing the loudest in.

I showed leadership by not talking and listening to the teachers talk about our performances

I continued to be a good role model to other students by helping them with the actions.

Today in kapa haka we took off our shoes and waited for the younger kids to be done in the hall and after that we came in and sat in our lines well at least some of us did. Then we started off by singing ka waiata we sang this really well after that we sang koi mati feke and the we learnt actions for it. Then we sang tai tapu we sang this really proud because its our school song. then after that we went over wakatakateho, this is one of my favourite song because its really high energy. then we talked about  when our next performance is it is at the gala on the first of December and that we will be doing a range of songs for it. I showed leadership by as soon as I walked in just going straight to my seat and not worrying about what my friends are doing. I showed excellence by doing the actions as best as copying matua to learn the new actions.

home learning challenge distinction #4

For this home learning challenge I helped my mum stain the front deck, back deck, dog deck and the fence this took us about three days to do and I had to where old clothes so that my good clothes didn't get dirty but then I was not wearing shoes so it got all over my feet as well as my arms it even got on my head and I tried to get it off with a lot of things but nothing was getting it off then I treed make up remover and it got it off thank goodness because I had school the next day.

For this home learning challenge I had to research a job that interests me I chose a cabinet maker Whilst you are in secondary school or tertiary education it is best to do  minimum of three years of secondary education is recommended. Useful subjects include: English, maths, technology, and design & visual communication. To become a Cabinet Maker you need to complete an apprenticeship and gain a National Certificate in Furniture Making (Level 4) through competenz. You need maths so that you can measure things accurately. you need an apprenticeship so that you know what it's like and have some experience in that job while you would also need  you need design, technology and visual communication so that you know how to design things that would be useful for people and talk with people for what they want.
