kapa haka excellence #10 2017

Today at kapa haka we firstly went into the hall foyer and took of our shoes and put them on the chair. Next we went into the hall and lined up into our performance lines and started off singing ka waiata. After that we sang a new song and found out we need four kaia to talk during the song saying stuff like "hello this is our second song" and stuff but in Maori. Natasha and I put our hands up and now we sing in the song solo! I showed respect by listening to Matua rihari.  I showed leadership by getting involved and being the new kaia.

Write an effective argument for our chosen political party.

WALT: Write an effective argument for our chosen political party. Have you voted yet? National party is an obvious pick its very business oriented. I really do believe that New Zealand is going fine having National so my opinion is to keep National in govern. For example, I know that there are to many workplace injuries and deaths. I am aware that they are going to fund private and public tertiary educations on an equal basis. Another great policy, People have firearms in their cars and houses that they are not allowed to. As you know what party I like lets go over the first policy for National and this is a very good reason to vote for National. National has created a policy to implement new measures to reduce workplace death and injury National believes that people should be safe from injury and death at work.  They want to put in new ideas so that people don't hurt them self they want to reduce death and injury by ¼ by 2020. I believe this is a good policy because it means

formal letter

In Writing we have been learning to: Write a formal letter. We have followed the writing process and have planned and drafted a formal letter. Here is a link to our online Modelling book. This shows the process that we have followed. Here is the letter that I have writte n Here is my reflection on the letter writing that we have done. One thing that I found challenging about writing formal letters was figuring out where to start and trying to keep the letter going so that its as long as its meant to be. My next step is: look for more opportunities to put my letter writing knowledge into practice in the future.
