Kapa haka excellence #3

Today in Kapa haka we were doing two songs with the non performance group then they had to go back to class so the performance group can practice for the cultural festival we are doing three songs they are

  • Hallelujah 
  • Taitapu
  • tahurihuri
And we are also doing the haka

I showed leadership by paying attention to the front.

I showed  excellence because I was trying my best even if I mess up the words on accident

Today in kapa haka we took off our shoes and waited for the younger kids to be done in the hall and after that we came in and sat in our lines well at least some of us did. Then we started off by singing ka waiata we sang this really well after that we sang koi mati feke and the we learnt actions for it. Then we sang tai tapu we sang this really proud because its our school song. then after that we went over wakatakateho, this is one of my favourite song because its really high energy. then we talked about  when our next performance is it is at the gala on the first of December and that we will be doing a range of songs for it. I showed leadership by as soon as I walked in just going straight to my seat and not worrying about what my friends are doing. I showed excellence by doing the actions as best as copying matua to learn the new actions.

Today in kapa haka we took off our shoes and waited for the jounior kapa haka to be done in the hall and after that we came in and sat in our lines well at least some of us did. kappa Hakka #6 distinction

well i was doing kappa Hakka we came into the hall and sat in our lines facing the stage and we started by singing taitapui and tenaematoe then we let the nonperformance go back to class then we practised the songs that we are doing for the senior citizens performance and after that we went in to our lines then the teachers said that they needed some people in the front row that new the actions so I put my hand up  we practised all of our songs that we are doing for the senior citizens  performance we have about 4 more performances until the end of the year after that we practised taitapui and personally i think that taitapui is the song that we sing the strongest in. I showed leadership by not being afraid to go in the front row. I continued to be a good role model to other students by helping them with the actions.
